Dear reader,
As announced a few months back, Internationalist Review’s annual momentum has been guided by a wave of new ideas and projects planned to emerge throughout the year. This wave of change resulted in an organization that has gained in membership, partnership and contributors alike. Internationalist Review’s editorial line is also being adapted to the re-emergence of the web as an information and participative vector and as a parallel to an evolution to the WWW. In this respect, have a look at this multimedia compact digest of www2.0 here.
“IR2” will guide the new editorial principles accompanied with a brand-new web interface and platform to come in the next months. This move forward will frame written contributions with less academic formalities but still with a constant aim for contributor rigorousness in their research and submission. To enhance frequencies of publications and editorials and their off-the-beaten-track character, a worldwide call for correspondents will be launched in September. A much deserved annual reengineering that will enhance creativity of our collaborators, unleash information sharing on various themes sponsored by Internationalist Review since it’s debut and most notably, an increased flow of permanent and constant collaboration among readers/authors. 2008 also marks INFOCON’s debut, an intensive research and production project that Internationalist Review’s team has babied in the last years (see the website). On a larger scale, 2008 will also mark a year of change in the US politics, the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue and on the 3rd of July, Internationalist Review will proudly celebrate its second year of official existence. As the North American and Québécois board member of the Internationalist Review, I must also add that this very date will mark Quebec’s City 400th anniversary. An intense year of festivities to celebrate the combined contribution of the North-American Native’s culture with a long-term British legacy and a major French touch, shaped in the North American lifestyle and laid in a beautiful city.
Bonne fête Québec!
